Prazosin hydrochloride is a prescription drug primarily used to treat high blood pressure by helping to relax blood vessels. It's also sometimes prescribed for other conditions, such as nightmares related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The reason for the current trend is that Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. has voluntarily recalled over half a million bottles of its prazosin hydrochloride capsules.
